Heard the term Flawless? or seen on instagram #flawless, is everywhere in the beauty community. Thanks to Filters you can make your pictures look #flawless. But what about in real life? Unfortunately we can’t walk around with filters to smooth out our skins bummer! I personally don’t agree 100% on this filters, I mean is ok to blur out a little bit but when you know you don’t look like that, that is where I draw the line. Also this messes with a lot go girls self esteem, they want to look like what they see on Instagram forgetting the fact that 95% of whats online is altered. No one looks like that in real life. But thanks to beauty products we can at least get close t achieving that flawless look.
I want it to share the products I use before I apply my makeup. In reality the key to a flawless makeup application starts with Skin Care, I can’t stress this enough. Taking care of your skin plays an important role in makeup application. I learned this the hard way. Now everybody skin is different so you have to use products for your type of skin. I’ m Dry sensitive, actually extremely sensitive. This products work for me. Here I share with you my 5 steps to a Flawless Makeup Application.
Step 1: Start on a Clean Face,
Wash your face before applying makeup on. This helps remove any bacteria that could of transfer to your skin while you slept is good to get rid of this bacterias. This step also helps me awaken, If you’re using a moisturizer in the morning, you need to splash some water on your skin first, Moisturizers lock in dampness to keep you hydrated and glowing.
I use the Derma-E Purifying Gel Cleanser with activated Charcoal http://go.magik.ly/ml/3a5j/ I absolutely love this cleanser, makes my skin feel extra clean, I feel like it really gets in there and purifies.
Step 2: I apply a Serum.
Serum are super important for your skin. Loaded with nutrients, ceramides, glycerin, natural ingredients (cucumber, aloe vera etc.) and vitamins like C, K, E, skin serums are oil or water-based products, that have the ability to penetrate deep within the layers of your skin, so that you get phenomenal results (More info http://www.idiva.com/news-style-beauty/beauty-benefits-of-using-a-skin-serum/21026)
The one I use because it also helps with Hydration is the Derma-E Hydrating Serum
Step 3 Moisturize
If you are out of this world then you are probably one of the few people in earth that have perfect smooth skin. Unfortunately I’m not one of those. If you are like me normal (well I want to say I’ am) then you know how frustrating it is to apply makeup on a patchy dry skin. The point of makeup products like concealer and foundation is to create a completely clear canvas, smooth and even. But if you have dry skin, that same concealer and foundation will just sit on top of dry bumps or flakes, and even cake into lines and this is not pretty. Remember, makeup serves little to no purpose unless your skin is properly moisturized. I say this is one of the most important steps before applying your primer. Keep your skin moisturized and it will thank you.
I use the Derma E Purifying Oil-Free Moisturizer with activated Charcoal
Why Activated Charcoal? Activated Charcoal, known for absorbing 100 to 200 times its weight in impurities, helps remove toxins from the skin’s surface. When your pores aren’t clear, neither is your complexion. Activated charcoal’when used in a face mask’binds to and helps pull the dirt out of yourpores, making them less visible. This next steps are My own, I use these to make my skin appear more glowy, more dewy. Like I said in the beginning my skin is very dry, because of that I tend to go with a more dewy look, more glow-y look. The first 3 steps are key in applying makeup regardless your skin type. Is called Prep.
Step 4 For an extra Glow-y Look I’ve been using this Glowtion Day Dew from Pixi Beauty
Glowtion is a lightweight, moisturizing highlighting that gives skin a subtle luminosity. Glowtion comes in a squeeze tube with attached tube that holds 1.18 of lotion. Avoid using moisturizer when using this as it acts as a lighter moisturizer and highlighter all in one. But if you have drier skin, like me, you can use both. The color is a soft, iridescent pearl white that has a pinkish color shift. It does have a very, very strong lavender scent as it contains lavender oil.

Step 5 If you are like me and have very dark under eyes, I tend to take a little time and take care of my under eyes so the concealer don’t sit on the fine lines or even crease on me. I have been using this 24K Eye Elixir from Pixi Beauty also.
An anti-fatigue peptide serum that that massages away puffiness as it smooths and refreshes the eye area. I normally don’t get my 8 hours of beauty sleep, So I wake up with puffiness and very dark under eyes this amazing worker helps me get rid of the puffiness.
Collagen helps to repair the delicate eye area, peptides plump fine lines, and raspberry tones the skin
Cooling rollerball applicator soothes & encourages circulation around the eye.
The results from all this steps together before the makeup helps on your makeup application. I took this picture after all this steps.
I share this steps because they have worked for me over a period of time. I can’t stress it enough how important it is to take care of your skin. This is the first step on achieving that “flawless” look. Not only taking care of your skin by applying creams, is also on the food you eat.
I really hope you found this post helpful, If you did you can leave me a comment down below.
